The Faithful Foreigner

Being a foreigner can be tough. Global Nomads like us that live away from our home country can find a myriad of changes and challenges we live face to face with daily. On top of wrestling with our own humanity, the constant changing expat life can make it seem even more difficult to follow Jesus. When we are separated from our home culture, we can be tempted to look more like the culture around us than the culture of Jesus. Life with God in a foreign land can be distracting, dissuading, and downright discouraging!

The good news for us is that God encourages through the book of Daniel to keep faithfully following Him, even when the stakes are high! Daniel and his friends, along with the nation of Israel, have been forcibly displaced from their home country into the land of Babylon. They have pressure to worship false gods, adopt ungodly habits and attitudes, and even have their names changed by the Babylonians!

Even though they are forced into a changed living situation, they are encouraged by an unchanging and all-powerful God. Join us for an epic 10 week journey through the book of Daniel as we see practical examples of living for God and wild visions that blow our minds encouraging us to faithfully follow.
