What actually happens at a session?

The uncertainty is the hardest part for most people. So here's the whole thing — minute by minute — with nothing hidden.

Arrive & snack

Walk in, grab a snack and coffee, meet your table. Six to eight people with two hosts. No forced introductions.

3:00 PM
A short talk

Around 20 minutes exploring one of life's bigger questions — like Is there more to life than this? or Why is there suffering?

3:25 PM
Table conversation

The heart of Alpha. Agree, disagree, bring doubts, or just listen. This is where most people say something shifts.

4:30 PM
Head home

That's it. No pressure to return. No sign-up at the door. But most people do come back.

Do I have to be religious to come?
Not at all. Most people come because they're curious, looking to meet people, or simply want a good conversation on a Sunday afternoon. Alpha is open to every background and every belief — including none.
Is this run by a church?
Yes, Alpha is hosted by Fellowship Dubai. But Alpha itself is designed as an open conversation for anyone interested in life's bigger questions. There's no pressure to share our beliefs to join — you're welcome to come, listen, disagree, and leave whenever you like.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Snacks, venue, and materials are all included. There is nothing to pay at any point across the 12 sessions.
Will anyone pressure me to sign up or commit?
No. There's no follow-up, no sign-up sheet at the end, no door-knocking. Come to one session. Come to all twelve. Leave in the middle of any session. It's genuinely up to you.
Is Alpha a good way to meet people in Dubai?
Yes — arguably one of the best. You sit at the same small table each week with the same group of people, which is rare in Dubai. Most attendees say the friendships are the main thing they take away.
Can I bring a friend, my spouse, or a colleague?
Absolutely — most people prefer to. Just have each person register separately so we can make sure there's a seat at the table for everyone.
What language is Alpha in?
English. Both locations run in English, and our tables include people from every corner of the world.
I'm not sure I'll fit in.
You will. Every table has people from different countries, professions, and levels of belief. Not fitting a mould is pretty much the norm here.
What happens with my information after I register?
We only use it to save your spot and send you session details. No marketing lists, no sharing with third parties.
Can I come with my kids?
Alpha sessions are designed for adults, but get in touch and we can help you figure out childcare options in your area.
