Philippians 3:13–14 (ESV)
“But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Many Christians are in the race but stuck at the starting line. Paul reminds us that faith presses forward, not backward. Our faith isn’t static…it’s active. As Floyd McClung said, “You can’t impart what you don’t possess. You can’t lead people where you’re not going yourself.” To press on is to keep moving toward Jesus…even when it costs us.
Where have I become “stuck” or passive in my faith journey?
What does “pressing on” look like for me this week?
